Sharq.Org is looking to hire a consultant with expertise in governance to lead the initiative, steer a governance retreat (Feb/Mar 2022) to be attended by Sharq.Org staff and associates, and collaborate with staff to ensure production of relevant documents, including a five-year strategic plan.

Sharq.Org is looking to hire an associate to engage in a research initiative that will engage cultural actors in Lebanon and result in the development of a policy paper aimed at the Lebanese government and international donors that support the arts and culture sector in Lebanon.
The research associate , will support the project guided by the principle researcher.

We will in the coming months be producing a series of short animations. The animator will conceptualise the visual feel of the animation, create characters and develop short animations that go with existing audio recordings. The recordings include a combination of voices telling different stories. They will be complemented by visuals to support the stories being told. Some are in English, some in Arabic - hence the need for a bilingual professional.
Only experienced animators will be considered.

We require an editor to piece together separately recorded audio segments into thirty
minute podcasts based on scripts provided.

Sharq is looking to rent three sets of professional audio recording equipment for six weeks each.

Subeditor needed to review English language content, some of which has been written in
English and some of which has been translated from Arabic.

An experienced young professional is required to help coordinate two ongoing projects over a
three months period.

Translator needed to translate content from Arabic to English or English to Arabic.

We require an editor to produce coherent five-minute recordings from 60-minute recordings.

Each one-hour recording is of an interview conducted by Sharq. Each interview has been transcribed and the interviewer has highlighted select strong quotes to assist the editor in selecting audio passages to stitch together to produce a five-minute recording suitable for publication online.
