We are seeking an experienced Drama Therapist to work in collaboration with Restart Center, providing therapeutic services within detention facilities. The ideal candidate will utilize drama and theatre techniques to promote mental health and personal growth among detainees, offering creative outlets to help them process their experiences and emotions.

The role involves conducting home visits, social counseling, and psychosocial support for beneficiaries while ensuring their needs are met through structured interventions and regular follow-ups. The position requires coordination with various stakeholders, including outreach volunteers, healthcare professionals, and other organizations, to provide comprehensive support and referrals. Additionally, the responsibilities include preparing and submitting reports, developing individual case plans.

Job duties include conducting rapid assessment interviews, identifying and registering vulnerable individuals, and developing individualized case plans with clear outcomes. Regularly monitor, reassess, and update case plans as needed. Provide information, support, and referrals, coordinating with healthcare professionals on patient progress. Raise family awareness during treatment, manage data accurately, and maintain confidentiality. Conduct home visits, prepare mental health assessments, plan admissions and discharges, offer social counseling, and administer resilience assessments.

The General Practitioner (GP) at Restart Center is vital for assessing and treating beneficiaries, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Key duties include conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, prescribing medications, and making specialist referrals, all while ensuring thorough documentation. Effective communication and education with beneficiaries and their families are crucial, alongside a commitment to evidence-based practices and professional principles.

Restart Center was founded in 1996 in Lebanon by four friends and human rights defenders to rehabilitate torture and trauma survivors. Initially based in Tripoli, the center aimed to restore the dignity, health, and self-sufficiency of victims.

By 2002, Restart Center expanded its support to detainees, advocating for their rights at multiple levels to end torture and secure comprehensive redress for survivors.
