The A Project - مشروع الألف - About

theAproject envisions a society where sexuality and mental health are reclaimed by women and gender non-conforming people, cared for, respected, recognized in their diversities, and not utilized against them.  •

theAproject aims to create platforms that reaffirm agency and autonomy in sexuality and mental health, while advancing, through practice and theory, a political discourse around sexual, reproductive, and mental health and seeking alternatives to counteract medical patriarchy's restrictive and reductive approaches towards all bodies, especially those of women and gender non-conforming people in Lebanon.

Our objectives are:

• To contribute to feminist knowledge through research and documentation, and to populate all platforms, online and offline, with original content on sexuality and mental health that is not readily available but reflect women and gender non-conforming persons’ lived experiences.
• To decentralize knowledge by ensuring that the political framing around sexuality and mental health as well as its literature is made accessible and relatable to local contexts to activists, healthcare providers, and other local players.
• To strengthen individuals’ and communities’ access to health services and information through creating alternative methods to provide better quality and sensitized care.

الرّؤية

مشروع الألف يتوخى وجود مجتمع تستعيد فيه النساء والناس ذو الجندر غير النّمطي جنسانيتهن/م وصحتهن/م الجنسية والإنجابية والنفسية، وحيث تكون جنسانيتهن/م وصحتهن/م هذه مرعيّة، محترمة، ومعترف بها في تنوّعها، وغير مستخدمة ضدّهن/م .

المهمّة

يهدف مشروع الألف إلى إنشاء منصّات تعيد تأكيد الوكالة على النّفس والاستقلالية في مجال الجنسانيّة والصحة النفسية، بينما يقدّم، من خلال الممارسة والنظرية، خطاب سياسي حول الصحة الجنسية والإنجابية والنّفسية، ويبحث عن بدائل لمواجهة نهج الأبوية الطبية التقييدية والاختزاليّة تجاه جميع الأجساد، ولا سيما أجساد النساء والناس ذوي الجندر غير النّمطيّ في لبنان.

الأهداف

• المساهمة في المعرفة النسويّة من خلال البحوث والتوثيق، وتعبئة جميع المنصّات، على الانترنت وغير الالكترونية بمحتوى أصلي عن الجنسانيّة والصحة النّفسية التي ليست متاحة بسهولة ولكنها تعكس تجارب النساء والنّاس غير المطابقات/ين  للنّوع الاجتماعي.
• خلق ونشر المعرفة حول الجنسانيّة والصحة النفسيّة بطريقة تشاركية لامركزية   وضمانة سهولة الوصول إلىها وفهمها في سياقها السياسي. . والعمل على  ربطها بالسياقات المحلية للناشطين/ات ومقدمي/ات الرعاية الصحية، وغيرهم/ا من اللاعبين/ات المحليين/ات.
• تعزيز وصول الأفراد والمجتمعات المحلية إلى الخدمات والمعلومات الصحية من خلال إيجاد طرق بديلة لتوفير رعاية أفضل وأكثر حساسية.
