Lebanon Reforestation Initiative - Calls

The purpose of this RFP is to contract with an Agroforestry Consultant to prepare the design for 6
agroforestry sites and 9 forest farming sites.

LRI aims to Promote the agroforestry concept within 6 villages (Bqarzala, Fnaideq, Qobaiyat, Deir Jannine, Tal
Abbas, and Ainata) and the forest farming concept within the previously reforested sites in 5 villages in the
North & Akkar area and in 4 villages in Beqaa and Baalbek‐Hermel area.

The Agroforestry consultant is expected to develop the below deliverables:
• Agroforestry sites
• Forest farming sites

The purpose of this RFP is to contract with an esteemed Videographer that would support LRI in achieving its
communication objectives:
‐ Enhancing LRI’s awareness
‐ Reaching out and engaging its target audience
‐ Engaging effectively with stakeholders
‐ Effectively promoting the NGO’s work in the public and donors’ eyes
‐ Attracting more donors

The purpose of this RFP is to contract with a social media expert to work closely with LRI to manage the social media of Ehmej Conservation Park and Farid and Daad Karam Reserve to improve their visibility and highlight their educational aspect.

The purpose of this RFP is to contract with a Forest Management Expert to develop sustainable forest
management plans for 25 forests in Akkar, Dunnieh, Rashaya and Baalbek with the aim of decreasing forest
fire risk through fire prevention and forest management activities.

LRI is seeking an Ecotourism and Trail Management Expert to develop trail management plans and validate the developed networks of trails and develop the maps/KMZ files for 21 trails in Akkar, Dunnieh, Rashaya and Baalbek, conduct on‐site trail rehabilitation trainings for the participants in 14 villages in Akkar, Dunnieh, Rashaya and Baalbek, and develop an ecotourism strategy for the Quercus cerris forest in Fnaideq‐Akkar, with the aim of promoting responsible rural tourism as a mean to support sustainable forest management and the marketing of local production.

LRI is currently implementing various projects funded by different international donors and agencies. The
projects mainly focus on forest management activities and specifically reforestation.
The purpose of this RFP is to contract with a Director & Animator that would support LRI in developing the below:
‐ One fully animated (infographic 2D) video
‐ Three short hybrid (testimonials and animations) videos

The purpose of this RFP is to contract with an expert on Nursery management and composting that would
support LRI in providing trainings for CBO’s, associations and rural communities to build their capacities in
managing their greenhouses and nurseries.

The purpose of this RFP is to contract with an Agroforestry expert that would support LRI in providing land
designs and trainings for CBO’s, associations and rural communities to build their capacities in adopting
agroforestry techniques.

LRI is seeking an expert in geology to provide Anjar Eco Park team and the local youth with information about the Lebanese geology in general and the geology in Anjar in specific under the LiF project.

The purpose of this RFP is to contract with a Youth Engagement expert that would support LRI in providing
discussion sessions for 3 days in West‐Beqaa and 3 days in Akkar region (location TBD) for a group of 20 youth
in each region.
