Lebanon Reforestation Initiative - Calls

One of LRI’s currently implemented project is the “Livelihoods in Forestry” project funded by USAID. The
project aims at improving sustainable forestry activities through the establishment of models for economic
forestry and forest‐related rural tourism. In the framework of the Firewise approach, LRI is planning to disclose a fire alert system by developing a hybrid application that can operate on smart phone and provide notifications about risk forecast by location.

LRI is seeking a qualified firm approved by the Ministry of Environment to conduct an Environmental ImpactAssessment for the concepts developed for the restoration of the abandoned quarries in Maqne and Machghara prior to the implementation of restoration work.

‐ General overview on forest pruning laws
‐ Directions and precautions to take during pruning

LRI is a Lebanese NGO that undertakes a yearly strategic planning meeting to revisit the mission, vision and goals in addition to reviewing and planning the activities of the running projects. The strategic planning will be from Aug 5 till 9 in the Bekaa region.
The facilitator is expected to: 
‐ Prepare the workshop agenda with the NGO director;  
‐ Prepare the team building activities; 
‐ Moderate the planning and discussion sessions and; 
‐ Note the meeting minutes.
