The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) is looking to hire a highly qualified professional for the role of Humanitarian Assistance Caseworker, with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, and authorization to work in Lebanon.

The IRAP Lebanon Office seeks to sponsor a law student who is participating in a formal law school program or a recent graduate from a law school program to intern remotely at IRAP during the summer 2022, for a period of 10 Weeks starting on June 1st, 2022. The legal intern will be supervised by a Senior Staff Attorney within the Lebanon Office.

The ILI Supervising Attorney reports to the ILI Director and will manage ILI’s caseworkers and its screening and casework in UNHCR processes. The ILI Supervising Attorney may work in IRAP’s offices in New York, USA; or Beirut, Lebanon.

The IRAP Lebanon Office seeks to sponsor a law student who is participating in a formal law school program to intern remotely at IRAP during the summer 2021 period. The legal intern will be supervised by a Senior Staff Attorney within the IRAP Lebanon Office.

The IRAP Lebanon office seeks a volunteer who will work with the entire team and report to the Casework Coordinator. The volunteer will conduct screening interviews with refugees seeking IRAP’s assistance, part of the initial phase of IRAP’s screening and intake process.
In accordance with Covid-19 related precautions, this position will be remote for the time being.
Fluency in English and Arabic is a requirement. While this is an unpaid position, IRAP will cover communication and transportation expenses that might be incurred.

IRAP is seeking a Staff Attorney to be part of IRAP’s Legal Services team in our Beirut, Lebanon office. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in refugee, human rights, & immigration/international law, & to be part of a growing agency that makes an impact on the lives of refugees. The staff attorney will maintain a caseload directly representing refugees & will advocate on their behalf with the UN, U.S & foreign governments, & other relevant agencies. The staff attorney will also liaise with IRAP NGO partners & civil society actors in Lebanon.

IRAP’s Complementary Pathways team assists refugees seeking relocation from countries of first asylum through family reunification, humanitarian visa, private sponsorship, and other pathways outside of traditional resettlement. The Complementary Pathways team consists of the Director, who is based in Beirut, the Europe Legal Program Manager, who is based in Berlin, the Project Manager, who is based in New York City, and a German Family Reunification consultant, who works remotely. The team regularly works with other members of IRAP’s Legal Services team in New York, Lebanon, and Jordan.
