Under the CHASE youth empowerment program (Akkar Region), Fair Trade Lebanon (FTL) is looking for an agricultural supplier to provide beneficiaries the needed equipment and tools to be able to improve their agricultural skills and business.

FTL has developed a local plant nursery in Ouwaynat Akkar. The nursery is used to produce plants for farmers in the region and then, after harvesting, part of the produce is distributed to selected vulnerable households. FTL is looking for an agricultural supplier to provide farmers with the necessary inputs.

FTL aims to give cash for work to a minimum of 150 vulnerable workers engaged in labor-intensive activities by providing them with the needed agricultural tools, to support cooperative members in farming practices.

The main objective of the project is to support agricultural cooperatives in Deir El Ahmar by reducing operational costs, providing labor, equipment and training to ensure the sustainability of member farmers and their ability to navigate difficult economic situations, ultimately improving the agricultural sector in the region.
