Trainer’s profile:
● Proven experience of working as a data journalist.
● Excellent interpersonal communication skills including experience of facilitation of webinars, training sessions and workshops.
● Interested in sharing knowledge with young media workers.
● Interest in supporting female journalists in their career.
● Excellent communication and written skills in Arabic. English is very desirable and is an asset.
● Meets with DWA on values and goals.

DW Akademie is looking for a short term consultant to develop a website for a new podcast platform.

Deutsche Welle Akademie would like to recruit a consultant to define the needs of a Lebanese radio station in terms of social media strategy, podcast and other innovative digital audio formats.

More than ever, media consumers need information to understand, classify and make informed decisions about the multiple crises we are experiencing: Covid-19, climate crisis, Ukraine war. In Lebanon, there are more crises - economic and banking crisis, environmental crisis. These crises have shown that media in Lebanon have a shortage of qualified specialized journalists.
There's need for qualifications and training material tailored to the needs of media professionals in Lebanon.
GOAL : To develop a series of modules on constructive journalism and on science journalism -till 2023, March 31st

Lebanon’s parliamentary election will be the first held since the popular uprising in late 2019. This election in Lebanon will set the political course for the next few years in the country. The need of citizens for reliable information is high.
We, Deutsche Welle Akademie, are looking for election experts and media trainers in different fields for workshops in March /April/Mai. Flexibility is appreciated.

ستكون دورة الانتخابات النيابية المقبلة في لبنان الأولى بعد الحراك الشعبي في أواخر عام 2019. وستحدد هذه الانتخابات المسار السياسي في البلاد للسنوات القليلة القادمة. ومن هنا الحاجة الماسة للمواطنين والمواطنات إلى معلومات موثوقة يبنون عليها خياراتهم في هذا التوقيت.
تقدَّموا بطلبكم للالتحاق ببرنامج تدريبي مجانيّ حول تغطية الانتخابات في الصحافة الخاصة بخدمات المراسلة كتطبيق الواتس- أب، أو أي خدمة من خدمات المراسلة الأخرى بهدف الوصول إلى أكبر عدد من الناس.

Deutsche Welle Akademie in collaboration with Social Lab is organizing a three-day workshop from 21.02.2022 to 23.02.2022 in Beirut for media makers, (citizen-) journalists, and storytellers on how to use our new open-data platform "Crisis Data" and tell innovative stories based on social-media data.
