The EU funded project “Strengthening Resilience - MENA II” (SR2) in Lebanon is part of a regional project. In Lebanon the programme involves supporting the delivery of The National Strategy for Preventing Violent Extremism that has been developed by the government and was ratified during March 2018.

The support will focus particularly on the development and delivery of a National Consultation Process that will take place throughout 2019, and an accompanying communication strategy.

In Lebanon the programme involves supporting the delivery of The National Strategy for Preventing Violent Extremism that has been developed by the government and was ratified during March 2018.

The support will focus particularly on the development and delivery of a National Consultation Process that will take place throughout 2019, and an accompanying communication strategy.

This consultancy aims on providing technical support to Active Citizens programme (i.e. committee of the Lebanese University that will be working on curriculum development program for citizenship using the methodology of the Active Citizens that will eventually contribute to have an accredited course for the mestor students in order to graduate).

This consultancy aims on providing technical support to the British Council team in Active Citizens programme specifically in terms of evaluation and learning and measuring the impact of Active Citizens programme in secondary public schools as well as with the higher education.

As part of YMV the British Council is looking for a number of organisations that will be responsible for establishing debate clubs, managing cascade training of debate skills and meetings with participants at targeted countries level. These organisations, known as ‘Debate Hubs’ will be responsible for supporting delivery of debate training and will establish Debate Clubs.

This post holder will be a key member of the SRII Lebanon team, reporting to the Project Lead and Project Manager (component 1) and closely working with the SR2 tea, and PVE unit to aid in the coordination and implementation of the communication plans and the National Conference, and ensure they are delivered to a high standard.

The consultant will be expected to work up to a maximum of 12 days each calendar month for the duration of the contract.

The purpose of the consultancy is to facilitate the discussions and meetings of the youth resilience network that was formed within the IRT 2 . Hence , the formed network will be structured with a clear governance and action plan.

The consultant will be expected to work up to a maximum of 06 days for the duration of the contract.

The purpose of the consultancy is to build the capacity of IRT project focal points in Tripoli. Earning how to do a “do no harm” analysis and learning how to integrate conflict sensitivity into the project cycle and work processes.

The consultant will be expected to work up to a maximum of 03 days for the duration of the contract.

In order to establish Youth Resilience Network and to build capacities of CSOs in Tripoli, the British Council is seeking a service provider or a firm to assess the capacity and to identify the needs of pre-selected CSOs.

The purpose of the consultancy is to design a methodology and tools for youth consultations around PVE strategy. In this way, youth priorities will be identified, and a greater connection and engagement will be established between them and main actors in a structured and systematic way. The consultant will be expected to work up to a maximum of 60 days for the duration of the contract
