يعلن قسم الإعلام في المؤسسة العربية للحريات والمساواة (AFE) بلتعاون مع منظمة أوترايت أكشن إنترناشونال(OutRight Action International) عن فتح باب التقديم للمشاركة في "ورشة عمل اقليمية للصحافيين/ات حول كتابة التقارير المتعلقة بمواضيع الجنسانية والجندر". ينظم المركز سلسلة من الجلسات التدريبية و حلقات النقاش التي تهدف الى التعرف على التحديات التي يواجهها الصحافيون/ات ومعالجتها ، وخاصة تلك التي يواجهها الصحافيون/ات الذين/اللواتي يقومون/ن بتغطية قضايا النوع الاجتماعي ومجتمع الميم والقضايا الجسدية والجنسانية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال افريقيا.

The GAB Media department at the Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality AFE in partnership with OutRight Action International is currently accepting applications to its regional “Workshop for Journalists on Gender and sexuality reporting.” GAB will conduct a series of training and discussion sessions that aim at identifying and addressing the challenges of journalists, particularly those who report on gender, sexuality and LGBT issues in the MENA region.

M-Coalition, the LGBT health department of the Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality (AFE MENA) is looking for a research consultant to produce a report around the situation of Key Population Migrants and Refugees in regards to human rights and HIV in the Middle East and North Africa Region.

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has one of the lowest HIV prevalence rates in the world (0.1%). However, the MENA region is becoming one of the most troubling areas in terms of HIV / AIDS. Since 2001, new infections have increased by 35%, and AIDS-related deaths have increased by 66% between 2005 and 2015 (compared to a global decline of 35%). This is largely due to the fact that this region has the lowest antiretroviral treatment (ART) coverage in the world: 17% in 2015 and 29% in 2017, well below the 59% recorded globally.

One of the key roles of the MENA H Coalition, within its role as the Applicant of the Global Fund supported Middle East and North Africa Multi-country Grant, is oversight of grant implementation.
The role of the Grant Advisory Board (GAB) would be to provide insight and feedback on implementation to both in country and regional activities

Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality (AFE) and GAB Media Center, in partnership with Alternatives Canada, are organizing 2 workshops on Gender Based Violence for journalists and online activists. Every workshop is 2 days long. Places are limited, and priority will be given to people who identify as women.
