The Arab Women’s Entrepreneurship Program is funded by Citi Foundation and managed by AMIDEAST. Each year 20 women and their businesses in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Morocco benefit from AWEP and receive:
15 Days of training on business skills, conducted in Arabic, including:
What makes a successful entrepreneur
How to register a business in Lebanon
How to fund a new business or business growth
How to assess risk and feasibility
Strategic planning
Accounting and cash flow
Customer service
Sales skills
Business plan development
Successful women entrepreneur guest speakers
Connection to funders
Mentorship
Monitoring of individual progress throughout the program
Regular group meetings to discuss progress and share advice, experiences, and success stories

All sessions run from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm
In addition, during the period of April – October, 2015, monthly half day-meetings as well as two full-day training sessions will take place on Saturdays.
