Job Purpose/ Main Functions:
The Senior Focused Psychosocial Support (FPSS) Facilitator will oversee the implementation of focused psychosocial support activities for children at medium to high risk and their caregivers, both within Tdh and in collaboration with local partners. This position will ensure that all focused PSS activities align with organizational and interagency guidelines and will be a central figure in building resilience and enhancing the well-being of vulnerable children, youth at risk, and their caregivers.
The Senior FPSS Facilitator will be responsible for ensuring that all activities have a positive and lasting impact on children, youth, and caregivers, promoting their emotional, psychological, and social well-being, while also enhancing the parenting skills of caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate psychosocial activities for children at medium to high risk and their caregivers, ensuring that interventions foster resilience, promote well-being, and enhance caregivers' parenting skills.
Ensure all focused PSS activities are non-discriminatory, age-sensitive, and gender-sensitive, in line with best practices and established guidelines.
Facilitate the active participation of children and youth in psychosocial activities, creating a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment in which they feel supported and empowered.
Contribute to monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts, tracking the effectiveness and outcomes of activities, and ensuring alignment with protection goals and objectives.
Ensure that children and youth consistently feel safe, respected, and emotionally secure throughout their participation in the program.
The Senior FPSS Facilitator will be integral in ensuring the quality, consistency, and positive impact of child protection and psychosocial support activities, playing a key role in the emotional and psychological recovery and empowerment of vulnerable children and youth.
