The Organization

The Opportunity
As part of the responsibilities the post holder will ensure the establishment of Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) systems, and ensure that humanitarian needs (by our own staff and/or as a result of how we do our work) are identified and addressed on an ongoing basis. She/he will report and respond to interventions as determined by his/her position and responsibilities identified in Save the Children International strategy.
She/he will be responsible of the provision of daily/weekly reports. Moreover, he/she will be responsible for non food items (NFIs)/ food items (FIs), cash distribution, outreach activities, assessments, verification, and post distribution monitoring (PDM).
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance, International Relations, Development studies or similar field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in development programs, preferably working in food security & livelihoods, and with experience in development projects.
- Experience in field work, Development projects mainly
- Experience in conducting training sessions for communities and beneficiaries and especially
- Employability curriculums
- Experience in cash and voucher programming
- Experience in distribution activities
- Experience in Livelihoods projects
- Computer skills (especially Excel)
- Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours, and capability to work in insecure environment
- Familiarity with the BML and south region
- Available to travel in country
- Familiarity with refugee communities in country of operation
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
