CFO - Chief Financial Officer
Role Overview:
The CFO will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, overseeing the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with robust experience in financial planning and management within the NGO and hospitality sectors, coupled with a deep understanding of Lebanon’s economic and regulatory context. The CFO will ensure financial accountability, compliance, and transparency while aligning financial strategies with the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s mission and long-term goals.
Budget Management: Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with programmatic and operational priorities.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for stakeholders, donors, and regulatory authorities.
Grants & Fund Management: Ensure effective management of grants, donor funds, and restricted funding, including compliance with donor requirements.
Hospitality Operations: Provide financial oversight for hospitality-related initiatives, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks while maintaining compliance with local and international financial regulations.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team to build capacity and ensure operational excellence.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with the Board of Directors, donors, and program teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA preferred).
Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in the NGO sector.
Proven experience in the hospitality sector, including financial oversight and operational management.
Strong knowledge of Lebanese financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Proven track record in donor reporting, grants management, and financial audits.
Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and tools.
