Terms of Reference
Position: Community Mobilizer (Tripoli)
Location: Tripoli, Lebanon
Duration: 16 months
Reporting to: Project Manager
Salary range: 900$ (B1) to 1200$
Overview:
The Community Mobilizer will oversee outreach and protection activities conducted by project partners in Tripoli, acting as the main liaison with local authorities, community stakeholders, and project partners to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee outreach and protection activities conducted by project partners to ensure robust community engagement and alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor community participation, provide support to partners, and address emerging challenges in real time.
- Establish and maintain clear lines of communication with local stakeholders, beneficiaries, and community leaders, ensuring they are informed about project objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on outreach activities, measuring effectiveness and documenting success stories, challenges, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and awareness sessions to address specific needs and encourage active participation.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to adjust strategies based on feedback from community members and stakeholders, ensuring project adaptability and responsiveness.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for the Project Manager, outlining progress, issues, and recommendations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager to support the successful implementation of the project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years in community mobilization, outreach coordination, or partnership engagement in humanitarian settings.
- Valid driving license and ability to drive.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in multi-cultural environments.
