ntroduction about the Team:
The MEAL Intern will be part of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team in Concern Worldwide, which includes staff in the positions of MEAL Officer, CRM Assistants, Program Quality and Accountability Officer. The team works together to ensure the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing activities, accountability to affected populations and produces and disseminates learning from Concern’s projects.

Contribute to enhancing the MEAL Unit's capacity to implement effective Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) initiative, while getting on the job learning about Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning within a humanitarian context, data collection methods, data quality verification, process monitoring & reporting, protection mainstreaming through MEAL activities, and accountability systems.
Related Objectives:
Support the MEAL team in optimizing and innovating the M&E system by incorporating new methodologies and approaches based on recent academic learning.
Conduct random monitoring of processes with staff and beneficiaries, ensuring documentation and reporting.
Engage in Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM), baseline, and endline data collection using the digital data tools.
Visit field locations regularly to provide real-time support for M&E activities, employing newly learned practices to enhance field monitoring and data quality.
Produce reports from field visits, highlighting challenges, opportunities for innovation, and actionable recommendations.
Assist in translating MEAL tools into Arabic while also recommending improvements to the tools.
Collaborate with the CRM and Program Quality teams to ensure the integration of current best practices in data collection for the Beneficiary Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM).
Participate in trainings and workshops, sharing and enhancing MEAL skills with both the team and stakeholders.
Support efforts to mainstream gender equality in MEAL activities and ensure adherence to Concern’s policies, applying modern frameworks and theories on gender inclusivity.

Enhanced the MEAL system by integrating innovative ideas and approaches learned from recent academic experiences.
Conducted and reported on random process monitoring, providing insights and follow-up actions.
Executed data collection tasks with high precision, adhering to updated MEAL plans, and suggested improvements.
Visited field locations, producing comprehensive reports that propose improvements and highlight challenges.
Verified the quality of collected data against the latest program monitoring standards.
Accurately translated MEAL tools into Arabic, proposing enhancements where appropriate.
Participated in capacity-building sessions to enhance personal MEAL skills.
Contributed to gender mainstreaming efforts by applying the gender equality theories and frameworks.

Required:
Education:
Ongoing or recently attained degree in the areas of Social Sciences, Development studies, economics/ business, statistics, mathematics, computer science, and information management or other relevant discipline.
