In addition to other interventions in the area, AND is currently working on child protection, especially in the most deprived areas of Akkar, by providing education support, extra-curricular activities, and psychosocial interventions.
Areas of Responsibility: Outreach Worker
General objective of the job
The outreach worker will act as the first representative of the organization amongst the beneficiaries, their families and the local community. He/she will closely work with local communities to ensure that the project activities have widespread acceptance. He/she will lead all outreach activities for beneficiaries (Home visits, community dialogues, awareness sessions and campaigns), data monitoring, and analysis. This role requires strong skills in data analysis, screening, and project data management. He/she will work closely with field teams, stakeholders, and data management personnel to ensure accurate and effective project implementation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with communities.
- Identify potential beneficiaries and inform their families about the project activities.
- Carry out field assessments, service mapping, and/or any other related assessment to identify vulnerable communities, potential beneficiaries, etc.
- Carry out home visits, community dialogues, awareness sessions and any other suggested activity to have children enrol and complete the project activities by tracing the out of school children and referring them to AND’s interventions and/or any other appropriate schooling.
- Support in parent’s involvement sessions for parents of children engaged in the project.
- Formulates monthly reports on awareness sessions, community dialogues and home visits. Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting on project activity progress and project impact.
- Develop and maintain a filing system of beneficiaries as requested by the project management team and in accordance with CP safeguarding policies.
- Support in completing data entry as per the templates suggested by the M&E officer.
- Any other task assigned by the line manager.
- Support in AND’s activities when needed;

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- Degree in social work or related field
- Experience of supporting education projects
- Strong understanding of refugee issues in the current Lebanese context
- At least 2 years of relevant experience working with children/refugees/vulnerable populations
Reporting
The outreach worker shall report to the project coordinator.
