Vacancy for Early Childhood Teacher - Borj Chmali Camp

I. Responsibilities & Duties of Early Childhood Education Teacher:

1. Data Entry, Outreach and Documents Handling:

• Entering data within set timeframes through ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Handling the required personal profiles and documents of students
• Completing daily preparation and documentation such as lesson plans and attendance sheets for morning and afternoon shifts
• Reaching the target of children throughout the cycles by conducting field visits

2. Assess Students’ Needs:

• Conduct individualized assessments to identify students’ learning challenges and areas of improvement.
• Collaborate with caregivers to gather insights into students’ academic progress and needs

3. Develop Customized ECE Plans:

• Design plans for students, considering their specific learning requirements and goals
• Create engaging and age-appropriate learning materials to support ECE activities

4. Use various teaching strategies and resources to address learning difficulties effectively.

5. Monitoring and Evaluating Progress:

• Continuously track and evaluate students’ progress adjusting plans as needed to ensure measurable improvement.
• Maintain detailed records of each student’s performance and development.

6. Foster a supportive Learning Environment:

• Build a positive and encouraging relationship with students to boost their self-esteem and motivation
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help
• Insert active learning techniques in the lesson plan and classroom activities

7. Reflection and Report-Writing:

• Updating the master teacher with the daily implementation and challenges if any.
• Submitting a weekly / monthly reports to the project coordinator

8. Safety and Protection:

• Presenting complete commitment to Nabaa’s PSEA, safeguarding and anti-harassment policies as well as code of conduct
• Guaranteeing children’s safety and security on all levels

II. EDUCATION/ TRAININGS/ CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education 

2. EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of one year of experience in early childhood education

3. COMPETENCIES / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES (as needed for performing selected tasks)

• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

4. TECHNICAL SKILLS (as needed for performing selected tasks)

• Understanding of educational teachniques and tools  
• Computer literacy in outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet
