Food Security and Livelihoods Coordinator - North

The Opportunity 

The Food Security and Livelihoods Coordinator is part of the FSL team in the North office and will be supporting in the delivery and the monitoring of food security and livelihoods projects in Akkar and the North of Lebanon. The staff will be based in the North and will be managing projects in Akkar and the North of Lebanon. 

The projects include but are not limited to competency-based training, vocational trainings, youth functional skills, cash for work and on the job training, entrepreneurship trainings for youth and adults, small business development, financial literacy, cash provision, and life skills and vocational trainings for youth. 

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, International Relations, Social Sciences, Development studies or similar field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in humanitarian and development programs, preferably working in food security, cash, and livelihoods, and with experience in vocational, entrepreneurship and youth skills activities.
• Advanced skills in team management and performance monitoring. 
• Experience in working in staff and CSO’s capacity building activities and monitoring.
• Advanced reporting skills in English, including donor reporting. 
• In-depth knowledge of competency-based training, vocational training, cash-for-work programs, and on-the-job training, with an emphasis on practical implementation and effectiveness.
• Strong understanding of entrepreneurship activities, financial literacy, life skills education, cash and voucher, emergency programming, and food security and livelihoods.
