About Rahma Medical Center

RMC is a reputable non-profit organization established in 1997, renowned as one of Lebanon's premier rehabilitation centers. Its distinguished status in the field stems from its exceptional services and patient-centered approach.

RMC's appeal lies in its highly experienced staff, offering a spectrum of therapies including physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social and psychological services catering to individuals across all age groups, from children to adults. The center specializes in treating various conditions ranging from complex cases like cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, stroke, and traumatic brain injury, to more common ailments such as chronic pain and sports injuries.

As part of its commitment to integrity and ethical conduct, RMC adheres strictly to a zero-tolerance policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA), ensuring the protection of beneficiaries. All staff are required to follow the Code of Conduct that upholds principles of Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) both during and outside work hours, with mandatory training and familiarization with these guidelines.

About Project

Building upon the success of its previous Community-Based Rehabilitation CBR projects, ADJI proposes a 12-month multi-sectoral intervention to address critical health, protection and shelter needs in North Lebanon (Tripoli and T5 "Batroun, Bcharre, Koura, Minnieh-Denniyeh, Zgharta" and Akkar). This project will prioritize assessing, addressing the differential needs  and priorities of women with disabilities, elderly women, children with disabilities CwDs, and other vulnerable groups within the target population.

Expected Outcomes:
* Improved access to quality and comprehensive rehabilitation and specialized services for 1800 individuals in North Lebanon.
* Increased accessibility and safety of living environments for 50 PwDs through shelter adaptations.
* Enhanced protection and reduced vulnerability for 6,800 individuals through increased awareness, empowered local actors, and inclusive service practices.
Through the project, ADJI will address the diverse needs of vulnerable populations in North Lebanon, creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.

The role of the Community Mobilizer - Volunteer is to Provide community education sessions for community members to increase their understanding about inclusion concept.

The community mobilizers will be responsible to disseminate the acquired information to their communities and will facilitate inclusion education sessions. facilitating discussions on learning, challenges and trends, and enhance their cooperation in an effort to increase their self-sufficiency & to conduct outreach activities and help to complete self-referrals for the need services

Duties & Responsibilities

 Participate in planning, preparation of work plans, implementation of planned activities and monitoring/ reporting of progress.

-  Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagements.

- Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning and development meetings, workshops and seminars.

- Identify local level partners, support and facilitate the partnership in the implementation of planned activities.

- Facilitate stakeholders and partners in supervision and monitoring of programmatic activities.

- Support the collection and documentation of impact and success stories on monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annually.

- Maintain and update Database on a monthly basis.

- Support development of integrated  monitoring plan in assigned area with area stakeholders

- Provide support to Area Development Programmes.

- Support in conducting needs assessment in the target and surrounding communities, especially the PWD

- Facilitate the participation and engagement of vulnerable target individuals and groups in planned activities,

- Ensuring appropriate attention is paid to specific emotional and physical needs.

- Documentation of evidence based impact stories.

Requirement

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse community members
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, and community events
  • Capacity to build partnerships and collaborations with local stakeholders and organizations
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing community action plans
  • Commitment to social justice, empowerment, and advocacy within communities

NB:ADJI will provide CM with Per Diem and allowances as well as transport (15 USD per Day for at least 10 days per month)
