Level of Effort: The Consultant will work according to the deliverables listed below. Background: The International Medical Corps Mental Health Department provides Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) consultations through its case management teams located in Bekaa, South, Akkar, Akkar, Beirut and Mount Lebanon. International Medical Corps also aims to advocate for mental health, by promoting community-based interventions through the youth and caregivers. Additionally, it provides awareness sessions on mental health topics, and community support group activities. Moreover, International Medical Corps continues to provide mental health trainings and coordinate with the National Mental Health Program, with the MoPH for integration of mental health into primary healthcare.

Purpose: The purpose of this scope of work is to support the procurement of the services of a Mental Health and Human Rights Consultant Task Description: The consultant will support IMC’s project, “Awareness Campaign on Mental Health and Human Rights” by providing expertise on the content of awareness material, social media content, and capacity-building activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Content creation for social media awareness posts and videos about mental health and human rights: • Conducting relevant desk research on best practices, guidance from other LMICs, and WHO QualityRights standards to ensure up-to-date information on mental health and human rights. • Conducting outreach to other service users and key stakeholders regarding feedback during the content development process • Writing technical content regarding mental health and human rights, including social media posts, video script, and any other supplementary material • Ensuring content of social media posts is presented in an accessible format in both Arabic and English (if needed)

2. Preparing and conducting capacity-building sessions on mental health and human rights: • Preparation of training material (including PowerPoint slides, handouts, etc.) and agenda, based on WHO QualityRights and any other supplementary material on mental health and human rights. • Conducting training for various stakeholder groups including service users, service providers, caregivers • Ensuring content of training is presented in an accessible format in both Arabic and English (if needed) • Preparing pre- and post-training evaluation

3. Reporting and deliverables: • Report directly to IMC MHPSS Coordinator • Attend regular meetings and working sessions organized by IMC. • Submit monthly reports on all outputs and activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: • Degree in Public Health, Mental Health fields, Social Science, Human Rights, Law, or related fields • Minimum 4 years’ experience in human rights and/or mental health fields • Familiarity with or training in WHO QualityRights toolkit • Experience in mental health service user advocacy. • Experience working within the mental health system in Lebanon, including with governmental, nonprofit, and UN agencies. • Experience in delivering training and capacity-building. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Fluency in English and Arabic

Fee Amount: 6,600 USD

Location of Work: Remotely and central IMC office
