I.Summary
The Community Nutrition & ECD Supervisor will have the primary responsibility of overseeing the implementation of the community nutrition and Early Childhood Development (ECD) program within the designated area. This role involves providing essential support and guidance to educators and volunteers engaged in project implementation.
II. Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Provide training sessions, on the job coaching and technical support to the educators and volunteers implementing the project in the area of concern
- Conduct field visits to accompany the educators and volunteers ensuring activities are implemented effectively and offering support as necessary.
- Participate in the development of reporting tools, and educational material.
- Ensure timely and proper reporting by the educators and volunteers implementing the project.
- Supervise, support, and manage the educators and volunteers working on the project and ensure smooth implementation of the project.
- Assist the educators and volunteers and participate in community nutrition and ECD activities including, but not restricted to, community events.
- Ensure timely referral of cases and follow up through the proper channels.
- Coordinate with the logistics and procurement department to ensure procurement of needed tools for the educators and volunteers in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the health and nutrition area coordinator and coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the project.
- Review, clean and compile data collected from the field.
- Report daily and weekly to the health and nutrition area coordinator by completing the required forms and databases.
- Attend IOCC staff meetings when required.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
III. Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Native Arabic speaker and fluency in English is necessary.
- Strong social, interpersonal, communication and intercultural skills
- Team player and team leader.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Experience:
- 3-4 years of work experience.
- Previous experience in NGOs and humanitarian field is an advantage.
- Previous experience in team management is an advantage.
