Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the center director in Douris:

  • Oversee the implementation of relevant Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Substance Use (SU) activities at Douris PHCC.
  • Coordinate and manage the implementation of the MHPSS and SU project in collaboration with the health officer and field coordinator.
  • Support logistics for assigned activities as directed by the Head of Center (HOC).
  • Ensure proper implementation of MHPSS and SU activities through regular coaching, supervision, and follow-up with staff.
  • Collect and ensure accuracy of data entry and collection, sending it to the health officer and field coordinator monthly.
  • Conduct regular training and supervision meetings, under the technical oversight of the MHPSS coordinator.
  • Assist staff in establishing and maintaining activities aligned with project’s targets.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the project coordinator and the center director.

Team management:

In coordination with the health officer and HOC:

  • Supervise and support staff in their day-to-day activities: schedule, time sheets, data entry, etc…
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to the assigned staff, based on their Job descriptions.
  • Conduct monthly technical meetings with the team to discuss activities progress and challenges.
  • Identify training and development needs within the relevant staff and develop plans to address them.
  • Ensure that the services are provided in line with Amel’s internal policies and procedures.

Quality Management/Work.

In coordination with the health officer and the HOC:

  • Support in implementing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure that project activities and deliverables meet established targets.
  • Collect and analyze data and information from project activities and identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement action plans and address identified gaps and challenges in project implementation.
  • Ensure that the community at large is appropriately supported and targeted.

 

Communication and Coordination:  

  • Support workshops, and training sessions, ensuring participation and engagement from relevant staff.
  • Assist in managing external communications with stakeholders, in coordination with the field coordinator and the head of center.
  • Support the development of communication materials such as reports, newsletters, and presentations for external audiences.

Reporting:

  • Ensure accurate and timely written reporting according to shared templates.
  • Submit timely weekly and monthly reports to the health officer and field coordinator.
  • Provide accurate regular reports, statistics, and documented results and maintain detailed records of the overall MHPSS and SU program activities in the center.
  • Fill in the project reporting tools on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Report technical issues and updates to the project coordinator and the MHPSS coordinator.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or social work.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience including:
  • Providing Psychosocial Support (PSS) activities with youth.
  • Project and team management.
  • Experience providing supervision and coaching in MHPSS activities including focused interventions like Psychological First Aid and Problem Management, Staffcare and Wellbeing.
  • Good training and facilitation skills.
  • Good planning and reporting skills.
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft office and Gmail.
