Consultants LN- Medical Clinician X 3 (Bekaa- Tripoli - BML) - Repost

We are looking for 3 consulatnts, as Medical Clinician, One consultant for each area.

Background:

Academic and professional 

Possession of a Medical Doctor degree (Family Medicine Specialty or general surgeon  or Urologist) 

License to practice medicine in Lebanon and a registered member of the Lebanese Order of Physicians  

Experience 

A minimum of 3 - 5 years of satisfactory working experience as a practicing physician   

Language 

Fluency in Arabic required with excellent levels of written and spoken English. Working knowledge of French preferred. 

Computer skills  

 Strong knowledge of MS Office including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook  

Purpose: 

The Medical Clinician will provide technical oversight of a new project that aims to improve coverage of surgeries for children with urogenital congenital malformation. 

Clinical

Patient Clinical Assessment 

-Screen and assess referred patients, documenting fully the clinical findings and suggested intervention on patient record form  (Diagnostics, surgery, procedure, second-opinion consultation...) 

-Refer patients diagnosed with supported surgeries to the contracted hospital, and document referral in referral slip and sign and stamp the referral slip.

-Ensure that patients understand the diagnosis and the referral process

-Provide timely follow up on referred patients to secondary care , making sure that the referral mechanism is complete, and that the medical decision is sound. He/She will Communicate with the contracted specialist at 2nd care to ensure that consultation was done and a decision on surgery type was taken and that the 2-way referral form was filled by the specialist and kept in patient medical record.

 -Ensure that the hospital medical record of each patient is complete, including all required documents:

Referral slip

Admission slip

Patient ID

Invoice

Discharge summary and instructions.

and that documentation is of good quality, including diagnosis, management plan, type of surgery and operation code and signature and stamp of the surgeon.

Coordination 

Field Visits 

-Review the schedule of visits to the PHCCs adjusting as necessary in coordination with the health project management specialist 

-Conduct field visits to selected PHCCs as scheduled 

Patient Case Management 

-Communicate with referring physician, when needed, to evaluate the details of the proposed procedure/surgery, diagnostics ,follow ups and expected outcome 

-Report, on the spot, to IMC medical coordinator any medical complication or challenges to access the care arising during patient care

Review 

-Analyze the hospital medical records and reports after collection of post-op patients' files before proceeding with the payment.  

-Report any concern to the health program management specialist
