Community Health Supervisor (4 Positions)

I.Summary

 Community Health supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the community health program in the concerned area and providing necessary support and guidance to the Community Health Workers (CHWs) and outreach staff implementing in the project.  

II.Responsibilities and Essential Functions

1. Support the selected Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) located in the area of concern with the implementation of the community health program.
2. Participate in the recruitment process of the community health workers when necessary.
3. Provide training sessions, on the job coaching and technical support to the CHWs implementing the project across Lebanon.
4. Act as the community health program focal point in the area of concern.
5. Conduct field visits to the supported PHCs and accompany the CHWs to monitor the implementation of activities and provide support when needed.
6. Participate in the development of reporting tools, and educational material.
7. Ensure timely and proper reporting by the CHWs implementing the project.
8. Supervise, support, and manage the CHWs working on the project and ensure smooth implementation of the project.
9. Assist the CHWs and participate in community health activities including, but not restricted to, health awareness sessions.
10. Ensure timely referral of cases and follow up through the proper channels.
11. Coordinate with the logistics and procurement department to ensure procurement of needed tools for the CHWs in a timely manner.
12. Work closely with the area health officer and coordinate closely with the supported PHCs and other stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the project.  
13. Review, clean and compile data collected from the field.
14. Report daily and weekly to the area health officer by completing the required forms and databases.
15. Attend IOCC staff meetings when required.
16. Perform other duties as necessary.

III.Qualifications                              

A.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Native Arabic speaker and fluency in English is necessary.
• Strong social, interpersonal, communication and intercultural skills
• Team player and team leader.
• Able to meet deadlines.
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

B.Education

 B.S. in nutrition, nursing, public health or other relevant health fields

C.Experience

• 3-4 years of work experience.
• Previous experience in NGOs and humanitarian field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in team management is an advantage.

V.Working Conditions

• Stationed in the field with frequent visits to the Primary Healthcare Centers IOCC is operating through. 
• Visits to Beirut office for meetings, trainings, and relevant paperwork.
• The candidate should have his/her own car.
