Employment Consultant
Description of duties and responsibilities:
The consultant's main responsibilities will include the following:
● Mapping of employment opportunities within private sectors.
● Providing a link between the competencies acquired through the CBT training and skills required
in On-the-job training and employment opportunities.
● Ensure the proper and timely implementation of employment activities, including outreach and
selection activities and training activities, in alignment with agreed on project requirements.
● Liaise with project stakeholders, such as: partners and potential employers to ensure technical
guidance is offered concerning employment skills and relevant CBTskills.
● Ensuring the referral of youth to employment opportunities, if not in the same premises of the
on the job training places (over 50% need to be placed in employment opportunities).
● Select trainees for different tracks to provide technical support based on knowledge.
● Train the trainers on employability skills and career guidance (in addition to curriculum
adjustment if needed).
● Conduct field visits to different project components in the area.
● Track progress of all employment activities, identify challenges and suggest corrective measures
and prepare progress reports.
