Call for Gender and GBV Experts

ABAAD– Resource Center for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region.

We are currently looking to expand our roster for Gender and GBV Experts.

If you possess the necessary expertise to handle consultant roles and/or are actively seeking full-time or part-time positions in this field, we invite you to apply.

We are looking for passionate individuals with relevant experience who are committed to addressing gender-based violence and promoting gender equality.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in gender studies, women's studies, social sciences, or international development.
• Experience in gender-focused projects and addressing GBV in different contexts.
• Proficient in gender research, data analysis, and evidence-based recommendations.
• Skilled in conducting gender audits of projects and mainstreaming gender considerations.
• In-depth knowledge of GBV prevention strategies and survivor support services.
• Strong facilitation and training skills for gender sensitization workshops.
• Advocacy and policy development experience for gender equality and GBV prevention.
• Familiarity with gender-responsive monitoring and evaluation methods.
• Culturally sensitive and adaptable to work effectively in diverse contexts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English languages. French is a plus.
• MENA region residency
