UNV Social Media Specialist

Assignment context:The UN Volunteer is responsible to deliver media outputs in a timely manner, manage social media accounts, and provide excellent support to the media team.

Under the supervision of the Secretary of the Commission, the UN Volunteer is responsible to perform the following tasks:

1- Assist in managing ESCWA social media platforms:
• Develop, implement and manage ESCWA social media action plan;
• Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific and timely campaigns;
• Manage and oversee social media content;
• Prepare content in English and Arabic;
• Work with the team and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing

2- Assist in developing communication plans:
• Meet with Divisions and assess their needs;
• Develop brand awareness and online reputation part;
• Identify and tailor elements for social media platforms;
• Assist in designing graphics and videos;
• Set up a promotional plan for high-level meetings;

3- Produce periodic social media reports:
• Define most important social media KPIs;
• Measure the success of every social media campaign;
• Create templates to be filled post-events, monthly, quarterly and yearly;
• Manage online reviews and reputation building;

4- Conduct trainings on social media:
• Assess the gaps in the use of social media
• Prepare material for the training
• Conduct trainings for small groups

5- Expand ESCWA network of friends and influencers
Search and identify influencers who are interested in the work of ESCWA
Establish a proper network of friends and maintain daily relationship with them
