Purpose of the consultancy

The main focus of the consultancy service will be the following

        • Assess the perceptions, needs and current capacities of the teams of MdM, PUI and Amel, PHCC teams and community members on GBV.
        • Develop and implement capacity building plan for MdM and partner’s staff (those who were not trained before)
        • Develop a roadmap on GBV activities at MdM supported PHCCs and community level with defined goals or desired outcomes and include the major milestones needed to reach it.
        • Build the capacity of MdM, partners, supported PHCCs staffs and Community Outreach Volunteers (COVs) to integrate the response of GBV in their service provision and activities
        • Putting in place tools, protocols and procedures related to GBV services in line with the national guideline set by the Ministry of Public Health
        • Mapping of available services and actors engaged in responding to GBV survivors (including sharing clear comprehensive GBV referral pathways for all services) in the project area
        • Reinforce coordination, documentation, monitoring and reporting of GBV related activities in the consortium, and in collaboration with MoPH, Health Sector and SGBV task force.

It is important to note that since the previous training was provided on GBV, there are new team members in the project. As a matter of fact, MdM programming and approach are not well understood by the teams.

Experience up-to-date shows that there are gaps at supported PHCCs and COVs on the integration of GBV response to the project activities
