Call for Proposal - Community-Based Rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities and for older persons and, capacity Building & training of care workers/NGO staff
This Request for Proposal falls under the project entitled ‘Supporting Beirut’s Immediate Social Recovery Services” funded by the World Bank. All activities carried out by the IRC partners under this project are fully funded by the Bank.
The IRC aims to establish one partnership with one LNGO through an open competitive selection process, in Beirut and Mount Lebanon areas, to achieve the following outcomes:
- Provision of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) services for Persons with disabilities
- Provision of Community-Based Rehabilitation services for older persons
Expected Deliverables:
- Subgrantee is improving access to quality healthcare for persons with disabilities and older persons, through outreach, at-home health, physiotherapy services and other interventions, reported through an implementation plan, narrative, and financial reports.
- In close collaboration with IRC Disability & Older Age Specialist, the subgrantee is developing peer-to-peer activities and self-help groups.
- Wherever possible, subgrantee is synchronizing and aligning proposed activities with existing services and plans approved by the MoPH and MoSA and current CSO initiatives targeting Persons with Disabilities, reported through a narrative, and financial reports.
Target: A total of 350 people with disabilities, and 800 older persons will be reached and provided with a package of interventions according to the CBR protocols.
- Capacity Building & training of care workers/NGO staff on common challenges and needs of persons with disabilities and older persons, in order to enhance services and improve the quality of care.
Expected deliverables:
- Subgrantee is assessing the needs and gaps of care workers/NGO staff in providing inclusive and safe services for people with disabilities and older persons, reported through assessment tools.
- Subgrantee is planning to cover the needs identified for care workers/NGO staff in providing inclusive and safe services for people with disabilities and older persons, reported through a capacity building plan.
- Subgrantee is providing a set of trainings to build the capacity of care workers/NGO staff in providing inclusive and safe services for people with disabilities and older persons, reported through trainings narrative reports, and financial reports.
- The subgrantee is preparing the training materials, that will be reviewed and approved by IRC health team and technical unit, and the disability and older age specialist.
Target: A total of 120 staff will receive the capacity building.
