Sector Consultant Expert (Remote)

The Programme:

Regenerate Hub is a circular economy platform to strengthen nature-based solutions. Regenerate Hub’s mission is to enable diverse audiences to data visualise the interconnected flow, impact, and value of resources across sectors [e.g. human, waste, energy, water, air, earth, industry], how systems can be improved, and who is working to create alternatives on the ground. To do so, this tool centralises and visualises information and actions through cross-sector mapping and dynamic data filtration. Other features of the platform include an open-source tool to contribute public data to the site, a project management dashboard for diverse stakeholders to collaborate on solutions, a library of useful resources, storytelling through data journeys, and more. Project Role, Schedule & Compensation:

Regenerate Hub is looking to hire up to 6 sector consultant experts to take part in the soft-launch of Regenerate Hub through outreach to key stakeholders for data collection and user recruitment.

We are seeking field-experts with a large network of contacts and a high degree of knowledge in one or more of the following fields in Lebanon: 1) basic human needs, 2) earth and agriculture, 3) sustainable industry, 4) waste management, 5) energy, and 6) water access and management. We expect experts to be highly knowledgeable about various initiatives and issues across Lebanon within at least one of these particular sectors.

This consultation role encompasses the following scope of part-time work:

• Work with Regenerate Hub staff to identify data needs related to your field of expertise. Research and reach out to potential stakeholders in our shared networks who will want to 1) become a user, 2) have data they wish to contribute, and 3) data partners who have larger datasets they wish to host on a public platform.
• Onboard stakeholders and data partners on how to use the platform in collaboration with our Outreach, Training, and Data Specialist.
• Work with identified stakeholders to train them on appropriate data entry and user registration.
• Each sector expert will be responsible for populating the platform with a minimum of 300 data points through their outreach.
• This role is a contract-based, part-time role spanning February - April 2022. Compensation is in fresh currency, totaling 600 USD, paid in cash at completion of scope of work.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a committed team-player who is resourceful and passionate about creating alternative solutions for Lebanon’s immense challenges. We hope to find an independent, self-starter who can work well within small grassroots teams. As this is both an internal and external facing role, we are seeking a blend of excellent people skills.

Other valuable skills include:

• Background in research and data collection.
• Knowledge of civil society and/or entrepreneurship and innovation sectors in Lebanon.
• High proficiency in Excel and/or Airtable.
• Computer savvy and able to teach yourself new tools and software quickly.
• Fluency in Arabic, English and French.
