LAH is currently seeking an Executive Manager who is responsible for working towards the organization’s goals and mission. The Executive Manager is responsible for managing the office and overseeing personnel affairs. H/she is responsible for managing contracts and negotiations, and for procurement of funding. The Executive Manager will also be responsible for representing the association in meetings and events related to LAH’s mission. Executive Manager reports directly to the LAH president and is expected to work closely with the Administrative Committee. All staff members report directly to the Executive Manager.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Actively search for calls for Proposals, in response to admin committee suggestions, within the scope of the LAH mission and vision and disseminate them among LAH members.
- Proactively manage the LAH strategy by involving members in its development, reporting on its progress and actively searching for resources to carry out the worl.
- Follow up on the work logs of all projects through regular reporting by project managers and officers.
- Lead on the conception, proposals, planning and implementation of full-scale projects approved by the Administrative Committee.
- Define and allocate tasks, resources and timelines for the daily operations of LAH.
- Develop and manage a fund strategy that supports LAH adopting a social enterprise model and build a database that identifies and connects with potential funders to explore and secure funding.
- Develop and manage research strategy that incorporates research activities in relevant projects and seeks funds to carry out research activities.
- Oversee budget management and financial reporting.
- Provide direction and support to the staff team and ensure quality work from all of them. This includes carrying staff evaluation and other HR related responsibilities.
- Regularly monitor and report on progress, problems and solutions of projects to the Administrative Committee.
- Attend the Administrative Committee Meetings.
- Liaise with LAH partners.
Skills and Competencies
- Over 5-7 years of experience in managerial position preferably in an NGO/INGO.
- Excellent writing skills and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Excellent Knowledge of NGO/INGO work.
- Dynamic attitude, multitasking skills and team player skills.
- Attention to details and high professionalism.
- Experience in project management and development.
- Flexibility and leadership skills.
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent knowledge in financial forecasting and budgeting.
