Behavioral Scientist

Nudge Lebanon is a nongovernmental and non-profit initiative working to apply behavioral insights to the policy challenges that Lebanon faces, using rigorous experimental approaches and tools typically used in the field of behavioral economics, such as randomized
controlled trials. Nudge Lebanon is a leader in applying behavioral science to a variety of public policy settings, in particular, improving citizen-centered policies and steering people and organizations towards making the most optimal choices, for themselves and their communities.

We are looking for a researcher who is familiar with behavioral science or another social science discipline to conduct literature reviews and other research related tasks to support in the design and implementation of one or more behavioral interventions/experimental
surveys. Other responsibilities include drafting policy briefs and other reports. Candidates with an interest in behavioral science, psychology or more generally the social sciences, or statistics are encouraged to apply.

Skills required:

·       Competent evidence-based researcher

·       has a Master's degree in behavioral science or related social science fields, or statistics

·       2-3 years of research experience and/or experimentation design experience

·       Ability to read and write articulately and analytically

·       Experience in econometrics and statistical analysis with proficiency in using statistical software such as STATA or R is a plus

·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team

·       French language is a plus

Ideal profile:

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in behavioral science and has 2-3 years of research experience and/or experimentation design experience.
