Trainer on Safety & Security

INTERSOS is a non-profit humanitarian aid organization that works to bring assistance to people in danger, victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts. Established in 1992 with support from the Italian Federation of Trade Unions, its actions are based on the values of solidarity, justice, human dignity, equal rights and opportunities for all people and respect for diversity and coexistence, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable and the unprotected.

INTERSOS is an independent association which, through its own humanitarian operators, intervenes to effectively answer the needs of people in serious crises situations, mainly in the world's poorest regions, who are suffering, deprived of rights, dignity and essentials goods. It maintains a flexible operating structure. The head office in Italy coordinates, supports and monitors the planned activities in the countries of intervention carried out by decentralized offices.

Reports to       : HR Coordinator & Head of Base

Duty Station    : Beirut, Bekaa, Tripoli, South Lebanon

Contract Type : Service Agreement

Training Topic: Safety & Security  

Description: Organize a Safety & Security Workshop for around 20 persons targeting the below mentioned security points

Indicative time period: between August and September 2021

The below topics are the key priorities to be covered:

• Residence and movement safety: robbery and carjacking safety measures (violent riots/civil unrest/roadblocks/checkpoints)
• Shooting, explosions, kidnapping safety
• Defensive/tactical driving safety
• Risk & Security Management
• Crowd control

Deliverables:

• Report on the training for each session.
• Pre-post tests.
• Needed material for training.
• Content of final presentation

Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Professional Competencies:

• Certified Trainer on related topics.
• Experience in NGOs is a plus.
• Previously delivered trainings on Safety & Security or Hazardous Environment Awareness.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, power point, etc..).
• Analytical and reporting skills.

Behavioural competencies:

• Excellent Communication skills.
• High level of presentation and public speaking skills.
• Attention to details.
• Good level of planning and organizing.
• Cultural awareness.

Languages:

Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
