Program / Department Summary

IRL – Livelihood Programme intends to implement a Sustainable Livelihood project aligned with LCRP to provide a critical contribution goal to Lebanon’s stability by expanding economic opportunities benefiting local economies and the most vulnerable communities and individuals in line with government rules and regulations. The project activities will be aimed to create an employment and income generating opportunities thus enhancing their job skills that mainly fit the market needs on one hand and to be able to run a small business on the other hand.

Summary

The Life Skills Trainer will handle the responsibility of planning and conducting the Life Skills course to Widows between 18 - 50 years old in order for them to develop basic interpersonal skills

Essential Job Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES

• To develop and deliver course plans in line with quality standards, as coordinated with the supervisor.
• To cooperate and to work closely with Project assistant to improve delivery and ensure a smooth work process.
• To prepare tests, worksheets, and other activities as delegated by the supervisor. 
• To support in promoting the Empowering vulnerable families through outreach activities.
• To conduct describe, present and train on life skills and implement the following coaching schedule and support Beneficiaries while executing their social initiatives and business startups.

  • Creative thinking, Critical thinking ( 2 hours)
  • problem solving Business plan development ( 2 hours)
  • Self-confidence and self-respect ( 2 hours)
  • Risk taking ( 2 hours)
  • Market research skills ( 4 hours)
  • Simple Financial management ( 4 hours)
  • Customer relations skills ( 4 hours)

Accountability

Reports Directly to: Livelihood Programme Officer

Works Directly with: Livelihood Project Assistant

Knowledge and Experience

• Practical experience for at least three years in facilitating Life Skills sessions pertaining to personal development skills that focus on raising the self-confidence of the participants toward becoming solution makers. Moreover, the applicant shall have the skills in coaching on business and simple project management skills.
• Very good communication skills.
• Experience working Empowering widows programs.
• Problem-solving and planning skills.
• Ability to use computer and Microsoft office (basic to intermediate level)
• Able to train and mentor with females 18 - 50 years old

2. Issuance of Payment occurs within 15 days after submission of legal invoice by cheaque withdrawn cash in dollars after 48 hours from receiving date. الدفع بعد الفاتورة الرسمية خلال خمسة عشر يوماً على شكل شيك يصرف بعد 48 ساعة من تاريخ إستلامه نقداُ بالدولار.
3. Bank fees when cheaque withdrawn  are on the account of the supplier. الرسوم البنكية عند صرف الشيك على حساب المورد
4. Every supplier has to fill the request for quotation and place it in a closed envelope, signed and stamped on the envelope openner and submitted by hand in the locked box that’s found in Islamic Relief office. We do not accept any quotation by email.
