Call for tenders: Videography Consultant (Short Documentary)

The Junior Leaders project is an informal learning environment that targets the children of the vulnerable communities of Tripoli and El Mina. They can socialize and receive support in different aspects. The project also provides an opportunity for youth to engage and acquire skills through voluntary work. The two main target groups of the project are children and
youth, who will be capacitated towards enhancing the cultural and behavioral environment from different backgrounds and improving the civic engagement capacity and skills of youth volunteers. They will carry the WE LOVE values of social responsibility, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence, and grow up to work with their community and lead positive change in
their city.
The Junior Leaders project is part of the Local Development Programme for Urban Areas in North Lebanon (UDP_NL), implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in partnership with WE LOVE and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
UDP_NL is co-funded by the European Union and Germany.

We Love is requesting through this tender a company to provide detailed written offers for the supply of the following services: taking footage from various activities, filming interviews, editing a short film about the project.

Duration: 20 working days over the course of 7 months
Timeline: May 2021 to November 2021

Scope of Work:

  • 4 days indoor shooting in Tripoli: Weekly Children Sessions at We Love Tripoli center
  • 2 days indoor shooting in Tripoli: Weekly Meetings at We Love Tripoli center
  • 2 days indoor shooting in Tripoli: Auditions Event in a Theatre Hall
  • 1-day outdoor shooting in Tripoli: Outdoor Community Street Event
  • 5 days outdoor shooting in North Lebanon (Trips, Outdoor Activities…)
  • 3 days shooting outside North Lebanon (Boot Camp in Beirut or Mount Lebanon)
  • 3 days shooting of short interviews (around 10 interviews)
  • Post-production: 2 videos including editing, color correction, sound, music (licensed for online use), subtitling, application of logos, and graphical materials according to GIZ visibility standards.
  1. 1st video: maximum of 1-minute video (short version) to be shared under EU and German Embassy standards and guidelines.
  2. 2nd video: longer version for documenting the whole project’s activities.
  • All shooting cost includes coverage of equipment: HD camera (e.g.: Sony A7 or canon 5D) with necessary accessories (lenses, tripod, neck mic, LED light…) and coverage of travel expenses.
  • All original footage and other multimedia materials should be submitted to We Love.
