Project description:
 

Implement Mental Health activities according to beneficiaries' ages and situation and according to specific psychotherapeutic ways and methods;
 

Feed into the progress reviews for all opened cases along with child and family (when needed and appropriate);
 

Receive referrals exclusively from case workers for cases exhibiting Mental Health symptoms (as by Mouvement Social Internal Operational Procedures);
 

Perform psychological assessment for high risk children and child survivors and prioritize interventions according to risk;
 

Design a therapeutic plan of action and intervention strategies, aligned with internal procedures (work plan always designed by the psycho-social) and relevant National SOPs.
 

Conduct psychotherapy individual sessions; and provide psychological support to families and caregivers of high-risk children and child survivors when needed;
 

Coordinate with the social worker and Senior Educator whenever a family intervention is needed;
 

Request assistance from protection coordinator and protection sector coordinator when unsure how to respond;
 

Request material, technical, and logistical support when needed for the services; 
 

Provide training to Mouvement Social field staff and volunteers on screening and detecting mental health concerns and referrals;

Ensure that all ongoing cases are provided with continuous evaluation (clinical and/or psychometric assessment), follow-up (psychological support), and closure interviews
 

Guarantee that all relevant forms and formats are updated and that confidential information is secured
 

Plan in an efficient way all the daily, weekly and monthly interventions relevant to the ongoing cases and keep clear tracks of the steps followed and the content of the sessions
 

Participate actively in the drafting of legal reports in close coordination with the Social Worker if needed;
 
 

Reports directly to the Senior Educator as per the internal organizational chart
 

Participate actively in all informational and/or training meetings related to the psychologist position function and provide accurate MoM, as requested by the Senior Educator and/or the Protection Manager.
 
 

Requested Profile
 

Master degree in Clinical Psychology

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in NGO or relevant work experience in psychosocial support/psychology, in clinical and/or direct practice settings.

Having License to practice the clinical psychology profession from the Ministry of Public Health

Solid understanding of protection principles, case management and survivor-centered care in humanitarian settings.

Continuous or finalized external supervision

Knowledge of Lebanese Institutions and policies, especially of the Ministry of Social Affairs (CPMS, CP policies, etc.), the Ministry of Justice (Law 422, etc.), and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (regulations relevant to disabled, enrolment in school, etc.).

good skills in time management and stress management

good knowledge of the Lebanese context and of the relationship between host and refugee communities

 good knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools, as well as data management

 Fluent in both English and Arabic (speaking and writing).
