MMU- Tripoli Zgharta is a three-year project implemented by the CWB. It aims to increase access to primary and secondary health care services for the vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian refugees in Tripoli and the districts of Zgharta and Danniyeh. The project will operate one MMU offering medical inspections, free of charge medicines, referrals to healthcare centers, and psychosocial support. The unit will operate in 10 different locations in the targeted region over a specific routing plan. The latter takes into consideration the intensity of needs as well as other stakeholder services to avoid overlapping and increase coverage.

 

Under this project, CWB is seeking to recruit a Project Coordinator having extensive managerial and communication skills to coordinate implementation of all activities and ensure the successful realization of the project deliverables. He/she directly coordinates with the manager of the center and reports to the Executive Director.

 

Objectives

The objective of the Project Coordinator position is to coordinate schedules, resources, equipment and information across all project activities and ensure that all milestones are met as the project evolves. The project coordinator shall perform various coordinating duties, like schedule and risk management, as well as administrative tasks, including maintaining project documentation and managing financial queries.

 

Scope of Work

 

The Project Coordinator will be primarily responsible of the following activities:

  • To adjust the MMU routing plan of the catchment area (when necessary) and ensure the medical team is delivering services and products as designed for the project
  • To lease with municipalities in the targeted villages to prevent barriers during implementation and adjust the action plan according to field challenges
  • To conduct regular field monitoring visits to provide support to the MMU team and ensure quality implementation
  • To support in data collection for qualitative and quantitative monitoring and evaluation
  • To oversee the work of administrative staff, drivers and hub assistant to ensure access to targeted villages is facilitated and assets, stock and data collected are properly managed and maintained
  • To establish and maintain networks with existing community structures and regional partners for referral and networking purposes (PHC, hospitals and external laboratories)
  • To attend the monthly health working groups alongside the Social Worker and report findings to the project manager
  • To prepare field visits from HQ, foreign visitors
  • To represent CWB at regional level with stakeholders and local authorities
  • To facilitate the access of CWB headquarter team to the field and make necessary steps to ensure security and safety
  • To support in procurement at local level when needed and validate goods and services are received within the specifications required in coordination with the Hub Assistant
  • To prepare monthly reports as requested by the project manager
  • To relocate or face a longer commute when required

 

Essential Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Advanced university degree in management, project development and implementation, development studies, health management, or relevant fields
  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or related position
  • Proven experience in managing human resources
  • An ability to develop and interpret schedules, flowcharts and action plans
  • Strong organizational skills, including time-management and multitasking
  • Knowledge and exposure to the social and cultural values of the region
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Arabic and English languages

 

 

Main Deliverables/Expected achievements:

 

  • Guidelines outlining processes or strategies for project implementation are developed
  • Timely weekly and monthly reporting
  • Linkages and collaboration between all stakeholders throughout the project activities are ensured.
  • CWB is well-represented in inter-agencies meetings.
  • Tasks are well-allocated to MMU staff and individual responsibilities are clarified.
  • All progress is described and shared with M&E unit.
  • All inquiries raised by staff, cooperating partner and donor are addressed.
  • Schedules and implementation plans are followed, and activities are timely achieved.
  • All project activities are well implemented, and desired deliverables are reached.
  • Budget is monitored in collaboration with the Hub assistant, and all milestones are met within the allocated budget.

 

Period

 

  • 12 months with possible extension (Aug 2020-Aug 2021)
