RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
DESCRIPTION

·        
Contribute
and participate in the development and review of relevant tools, processes and
resources for the project partners, based on identified needs, gaps and
priorities

·        
Carry
out continuous assessments in coordination with the Education coordinator on
the needs and priorities relating to inclusion and accessibility to ensure a
comprehensive analysis

·        
Support
in the implementation activities following an inclusive approach

·        
Ensure
the transmission of ODA key messages on inclusion

·        
Participate
in service mapping to identify organizations in need of support on inclusion
approaches.

·        
Assess
the non-physical barriers of the community to access services (ethnical,
political, geographical, gender/age/disability, institutional, attitudinal)

·        
Ensure
equal participation through all stages of the project from all members of the
community, taking into consideration gender, age and diversity

·        
Facilitate
awareness sessions on basic concept of inclusion and vulnerability for project implementation.

·        
Facilitate
Training of Trainers (ToT) on Inclusion and Age Gender and Disability Approach
for project partners

·        
Identify
the inclusion needs, gaps and priorities of partners in order to mainstream
inclusion and to share appropriate guidelines and adapt trainings and awareness
sessions accordingly

·        
Support
skills development and provide regular inclusion technical guidance to project
partners.

·        
Provide
weekly reporting on activities (achievement of results, activity monitoring,
network meeting reports, training needs, etc.)

·        
Ensure
quality control of inclusion mainstreaming activities

·        
Support
in the development of Inclusion monitoring for different sectors

·        
Provide
technical support for monitoring summary reports and recommendations to be
shared with government authorities and key stakeholders

Ensure
technical coherence of the approach and methodology on all the components of
the inclusion guidelines in the project.

Ensure
compliance with ODA policies, guidelines and standards on Inclusion

Education

  • University degree in psychology or social work, International Relations, or similar fields required.

Languages:    

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic mandatory

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience in the field of disability, protection of vulnerable persons or other inclusion related work (i.e. gender)
  • Previous experience with international or local NGOs.
  • Experience in delivery of training, preferably related to inclusion or disability
  • Previous experience in working in North area is an asset
  • Experience of working in insecure and complex environments is an asset 

Skills

  • Excellent communication and relational skills (internal within the team and external with partners).
  • Ability to deliver training and coaching/accompanying ODA staffs
  • Strong understanding of disability and inclusion
  • Ability to work under high pressure, without constant supervision and with flexibility
  • Adaptable, independent and able to work on remote if needed
  • Systematic planning and analytical skills
  • Strong interest in disability issues
  • Motivated, dynamic, able and willing to take initiatives, learn and to develop professionally
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and humanitarian values
