About Forum of Handicapped In North Lebanon:

FHNL’s a non-governmental organization that operates as an independent living for persons with disability. The organization's work consist on the provision of a better life of persons with disability and their inclusion in society. Its board and general assembly are composed of a majority of persons with disability. It is a member of the Lebanese Council of Disabled People. FHNL's implements many programs including health, educational, vocational, transport, sport, theatre, music, and scout, and job creation scheme. Its main premise is located in Al Mountada Road, behind Apec Station, Elmina, Tripoli.

 

Responsibilities:

  • In compliance with best-practice and international standards, provide case management to vulnerable persons through high quality and confidential interventions in line with minimum standards for service provision, with the aim of empowering the beneficiaries, allowing individuals to access their rights, regain control over their lives and restore dignity;
  • Conduct home visits to vulnerable individuals, assess their needs and engage with their family members and caretakers, develop, implement and follow up on action plans, and monitor situation prior to case closure;
  • With their informed consent, refer the beneficiaries to appropriate available services (mental health, PSS, medical supplies etc.) and facilitate their inclusion in their community;
  • At all times, ensure the safety and respect of beneficiaries, their effective inclusion in activities, in addition to the confidentiality of their information and their right to access services without any discrimination;
  • File and store the beneficiaries data as directed by project officer; ensure the utmost confidentiality of case management data and information throughout the case management process; including protection referrals;
  • Provide counselling for all beneficairies referred to case management service;

 

Coordination and planning

  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner with validation from the Project Officer’s;
  • Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on challenges in the implementation of the project;
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers;
  • Actively contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area of implementation;
  • In collaboration with the project officer, receive referrals, develop an action plan and appropriate response to each case. Ensure that informed consent/assent is taken before opening a case file.
  • Assess received cases and take immediate action to address urgent situations;
  • In collaboration with the Project officer, attend case conferences with relevant key actors when needed;

 

Other: Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the Project Officer or by the Project manager.

 

Experience and technical competencies: 

  • 2 years of experience in delivering case management
  • Ability to work under pressure and hard situations
  • Meet deadlines and set timing for team’s  follow up
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Ability to work in a multi-professional team while remaining within his or her area of ​​expertise
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to resolve disagreement on strategies in order to protect the best interest of the beneficiaries
  • Good knowledge of protection, GBV and CP case management principles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination, safety and inclusion of the beneficiaries at all times
  • Excellent gender and age appropriate facilitation skills, child development and adult learning techniques, and good knowledge of GBV, child protection and PSS basic principles
  • Excellent communication and psychosocial first aid skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility

 

 

Education:

 

Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or any other relevant humanitarian field.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in Arabic is a must
  • Ability to communicate and write clearly in English
