Graphic Designer for Social Media Campaign (Remotely)

Institute for War & Peace Reporting (IWPR) is an independent not-for profit organization that works with media and civil society to promote positive change in conflict zones, closed societies, and countries in transition around the world. Under the projects entitled WEPS are funded by the Department of State.

 

IWPR works with Syrian women and reporters to increase the participation of Syrian women, youth and marginalized groups in public and political life as positive change agents and promoters of a multi-ethnic, multi-religious society that respects the rights of all people

 

IWPR is requesting to hire a graphic designer to assist in the designs for Social Media Campaign – Remotely; for the upcoming 7 months, this period can be renewed if deemed necessary, for IWPR- Lebanon.

 

 

Scope of work:

  • Prepare a schedule of work with IWPR’s Senior Media Specialist based in London, UK.
  • Implement IWPR’s branding policy
  • Deliver creative and innovative ideas for the social media campaign
  • Design the illustrations in coordination with the Senior Media Specialist

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in graphic design, or similar.
  • At least five (5) years of progressively advanced graphic design experience.
  • Strong theoretical and practical background in graphic design.
  • Illustrate a clear and mature style of design, demonstrating an understanding of the communication requirements of an international agency.
  • Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and color management.
  • Good understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms.
  • Working experience in development or humanitarian environment is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English.
  • Proven familiarity with the work of Syria and having excellent understanding of the conflict issues and community security is an asset.
