International Women’s Day 2019- message on behalf of the organisers

On behalf of the organizers of the International Women’s Day March this year, we would like to invite your organization to attend the march on Sunday, March 10th, 2019.

The International Women’s Day March has been taking place in Beirut since 2017, each time with a different theme. The theme for this year’s march is “Economic Justice is a Feminist Issue,” which aims to highlight the economic dimension of the feminist cause such as unpaid and invisible reproductive labor, barriers to basic rights such as food/shelter/education/healthcare, safe access to public spaces, and personal status laws that have a long way to go before they can protect women and gender non-conforming individuals regardless of sect, nationality, or class.
