Communication officer

The Food Heritage Foundation (FHF) is a Lebanese organization aiming at the conservation of Lebanon’s indigenous culinary knowledge through the preservation, documentation and revival of Lebanon’s traditional food heritage.  The foundation works closely with the Environment and Sustainable Development Unit (ESDU) at AUB.

FHF is currently looking for a full-time Communication Officer to be in charge of the content and quality of external communication, and outreach to beneficiaries and partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in the field of communication: Communications, Media and/or social sciences, public relations, journalism, marketing or any other related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• English and Arabic languages proficiency
• 3-5 years of experience in the field of communication

Responsibilities:

• Design ESDU/FHF social media outreach strategy and manage its social media accounts including Facebook, website, and other appropriate platforms
• Ensure visibility of ESDU/FHF activities and projects
• Regularly update ESDU/FHF social media platforms in coordination with ESDU/FHF team
• Identify potential allies by outreaching through online and offline platforms
• Stay on the lookout for local and international successful models similar to ESDU/FHF projects for inspiration and lessons learned
• Prepare ESDU/FHF monthly activity reports
• Prepare success stories for each event or project and report them to the upper management (including photos, testimonials, etc). 
• Work with ESDU/FHF team to design digital and printed marketing/visibility materials and, designing some material in-house including flyers, leaflets, booklets…
