Job Summary: Medical Teams International is working to improve service delivery in 100 Syrian refugee settlements in the Beqaa Valley, in collaboration with local partners. The Case Worker, with the guidance of the Case Manager (CM), is responsible to ensure quality case management service provision in line with international standards of case management. The caseworker will conduct all steps of the case management process (identification, assessment, documentation and referral to relevant services and follow-up
S/he will organizes and carry out work to address an individual (and their family’s) needs in an appropriate, systematic and timely matter through direct support and / or referrals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Based on the needs identified through the assessment, develop a case management plan, in collaboration with the beneficiary and with the supervision of CM and external supervisor
Identify, refer and follow up on all services and ensure action points are carried out within the agreed timeframe;
Maintain regular communication with external referral agencies for service provisions
Provides weekly updates/reports on cases and outreach activities to the CM
Documents cases using case notes and regularly update the database to ensure comprehensive record of each case
Conduct focus groups with Syrian communities and within MTI’s areas of operation
Participate in training, conferences and attend meetings
Respect confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
University degree in Social Work or psychology
Experience
A minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar field
Previous experience in the mental health is a must
