Child Friendly Spaces Project Animators’ Workshops

Project Description

The “Child Friendly Spaces” is a psychosocial project for the children, especially Syrian Refugees, Lebanese Returnees and Host Community. The Animators’ Workshops objectives are to develop the animators’ knowledge, capacities and skills in order to present a better, more effective and efficient support for the children at the CFS centers.

Workshop/TOT is requested during months of November and December the Animators working directly with children from 5 to 10 years old. Animators’ workshops should be full day training, followed by an oral evaluation and a written report shared with the CFS project coordinator to discuss professionally the skills, capacities and competencies to be developed. The TOT will run from mid of November till end of December and reach 12 to 15 animators (working in the CFS centers, in different areas) while not exceeding 4 training days.

Animators’ Workshop will be done in the Bekaa area: Zahle – Relief Office or in 1 of the CFS centers. Place to be determined with the trainer regarding the preference and the implementation of the training.

Contractor (Second Party) Specifications

A qualified candidate for the second party contractor must:

Be a Psychologist or Psychotherapist, Preferable Arts Therapist. Be sufficiently able to fulfill contract requirements within specified timeframe. Submit all specified bidding documents by 19th of November, 2013.
Animators’ Workshops Specifications

The Animators’ Workshops designed by the second party must:

Be full day Training long, followed by an oral evaluation and a written report shared with the CFS Project Coordinator. Its objectives are to develop Animators’ knowledge, skills and capacities. Successfully engage Animators dealing with children from age 5 to 10 years old. Tools such as body expression, theater, arts, music or other activities to be used by social workers; tools to be determined by the trainer and discussed with the CFS coordinator.
Party Responsibilities

World Vision (First Party)

The first party agrees to:

Provide sufficient project funding as outlined in first party-second party agreement. Review second party assessment and provide general oversight as necessary.
Contractor (Second Party)

The second party agrees to:

Develop Workshops in line with first party specifications (see above) and budget. Book sessions dates and coordinate all logistics of executing the sessions. Perform for 12 to 15 animators with a maximum of 4 full days training.
Project Timeframe

Bids submitted: November 19, 2013. Contract signed: November 21, 2013. Animators’ Workshops begin: Mid of November, 2013. A total of 4 days training completed: till end of December 2013.
