Child Friendly Spaces - Group Therapy

Project Description

The “Child Friendly Spaces” is a psychosocial project for the children, especially Syrian Refugees, Lebanese Returnees and Host Community. The animators leading the sessions in the CFS centers, prepare all activities, conduct sessions, refer special cases and follow up on the Social and Moral improvement and development of the children within the groups and with the parents. Therefore, The Group Therapy for the animators is an initial component to help them resist with all the stress and pressure they are living, with the follow up they are doing on special cases and strengthen their capacities in order to keep working with the children in an efficient way.

Group Therapy sessions are requested twice per month, 2 days during November and 2 days during December, in Bekaa area, with the 13 animators leading the psychosocial activities with children aged from 5 till 8 or 10 years old (depending on the region). The Group therapy should be conducted for 6 to 7 hours a day, followed by an oral evaluation and a written report with the “Child Friendly Spaces” Project Coordinator. The Arts Therapy will run from Mid of November till end of December while not exceeding 4 days during this CFS cycle.

Group Therapy should be done in Bekaa Area:

The location will be determined with the Project coordinator (Office, Conference room, Space needed …).

Contractor (Second Party) Specifications

A qualified candidate for the second party contractor must:

Be an official organization or individual working within the psychotherapy field. Be sufficiently able to fulfill contract requirements within specified timeframe. Submit all specified bidding documents by 19th of November, 2013.
Arts Therapy Specifications

The Group Therapy designed by the second party must:

6 to 7 hours a day, followed by an oral evaluation and a written report with the project coordinator. Its objectives are to support the animators leading the psychosocial activities in the CFS centers, release the tension and follow up on the special cases by conducting discussion groups and other interactive activities. Successfully engage 13 animators working with children aged from 5 till 10 years old.
Party Responsibilities

World Vision (First Party)

The first party agrees to:

Provide sufficient project funding as outlined in first party-second party agreement. Review second party assessment and provide general oversight as necessary. Provide the needed materials for the Group Therapy.
Contractor (Second Party)

The second party agrees to:

Develop Group Therapy program in line with first party specifications (see above) and budget. Book sessions dates and coordinate all logistics of executing the sessions. Perform for 13 animators with a maximum of 4 days in the actual CFS cycle.
Project Timeframe

Bids submitted: November 19, 2013. Contract signed: November 21, 2013. Group Therapy begins: November 22, 2013. 2 sessions completed: between mid of November and 1st of December 2013. 2 sessions completed: 1st of December till end of December, 2013.
