The Project Management Support – Associate will be working under the supervision of the Project Managers and the Programme Management Advisor on a number of projects, as well as other tasks related to the UNOPS Lebanon country office.

The Civil Engineer will be working under the Project Manager on construction, rehabilitation and infrastructure projects.

The Project funded by the World Bank and Global Environment Facility (GEF) aims to support the Ministry of Environment (MoE) in Lebanon to reduce Unintentional Persistent Organic Pollutants (UPOPs) emissions and to improve solid waste management.

UNOPS is undertaking a project that aims at improving access to critical municipal services and increasing the resilience of the Beirut and Bourj Hammoud municipalities which were affected by the Beirut Port explosion, through the rehabilitation of damaged municipal infrastructure and assets as well as restoration of critical urban services, such as water and sanitation, roads, waste management, and energy, including renewable energy, in an integrated and gender-sensitive manner, contributing to improved quality of life as well as by creating local economic activities for all.

The Civil Engineer will be working under the Project Manager on the following two projects:
i. Construction of a training building including the installation of Solar PV Hybrid System, as well as the procurement of furnishings for classrooms and accommodations areas, and equipment required to establish storage functions; and
ii. Rehabilitation of a warehouse, as well as the procurement of equipment including pallet jacks and manual forklift, and equipment required to establish storage functions for the warehouse.

The incumbent will be working under the Project Manager on the following two projects:
i. Construction of a training building including the installation of Solar PV Hybrid System, as well as the procurement of furnishings for classrooms and accommodations areas, and equipment required to establish storage functions; and
ii. Rehabilitation of a warehouse, as well as the procurement of equipment including pallet jacks and manual forklift, and equipment required to establish storage functions for the warehouse.
