The Supply Associate manages and supports all activities pertaining to the supply chain function including planning, sourcing & procurement, transport, shipping, customs clearance, warehousing, assets & fleet management and monitoring within the area of responsibility.

The Receptionist plays a critical role in facilitating the effective delivery of UNHCR services at the Tripoli Reception Center, one of the four decentralized Reception Centers (RCs) in the country. These centers serve as primary points of engagement with forcibly displaced, operating between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm, with flexibility to extend hours as operational needs dictate.

The Zahle Office covers 2 governorates; Bekaa and Baalbek, which host an estimated 500,000 refugees. Refugees are concentrated in Aarsal, Central Bekaa and Baalbek while approximately 45% live in in Informal Tented Settlements.

The primary functions of project control are to complement programme management and provide support for oversight of projects including the formulation of a monitoring plan, quality assurance, and verification. Other activities of project control include: review of project agreements, project audit, monitoring that there is synchrony between financial and operational performance, participation in multi-functional monitoring activities and reviews, tracking project risk management, and supporting project closure.

Candidates will ideally have direct experience working in Resettlement and/or Refugee Status Determination with UNHCR, as well as experience interviewing refugees and asylum-seekers and assessing protection needs. Knowledge of relevant UNHCR policies and practices in this area is essential.

Under supervision, the incumbent's primary role is to assist in providing, in close coordination with concerned sections within UNHCR as well as external parties such as resettlement countries, IOM and NGOs, a continuous support to resettlement operations by ensuring that resettlement polices are correctly implemented and operations are supported in establishing comprehensive protection and solutions strategies.

The Senior Programme Assistant would normally receive guidance from more senior programme staff in the operation/bureau/division. The incumbent may receive indirect guidance from other sections and units relevant to the country/region programme(s). UNHCR Manual, Operations Plans, UN and UNHCR financial/budgetary rules and regulations will guide the work of the Senior Program Assistant.
