Project Background
In February 2016, Levant7 launched a project entitled “ISNAD” that aims to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable Lebanese communities against drivers of violence and instability. First, the program will strengthen the capacity of strategically identified Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and youth groups to both identify and respond to local drivers of instability and violence in the North and Bekaa regions. Throughout the program, youth groups will work collaboratively with CSO partners to conduct civic engagement activities that target the identified drivers. The CSOs will also receive training on how to identify gaps in linkages and communication between local communities, CSOs, and municipal governments. Subsequently, the project will connect these groups by creating standing coalitions comprised of youth, CSO leaders, and municipal officials. Each coalition will design and execute an action plan to directly address the identified drivers of instability and to create safer communities.
Project Design Trainer Scope of Work
The Project Design Trainer is responsible for providing training to beneficiary CSOs and municipality representatives on designing projects that mitigate the drivers of instability in each of the targeted local communities. The incumbent will be trained by professional Levant7 staff prior to execution of the assignment. The trainer will spend three consecutive days in each of the ten targeted municipalities on a rolling basis for a total of thirty working days.
Requirements for top candidates include the following:

Experience in training on project design, preperation, and implementation
Experience in participatory assessment, training and facilitation
Have good interpersonal and collaborative skills
Fluency in both Arabic and English is required
Strong local knowledge and comprehensive understanding about the targeted regions’ culture, politics, and other socio-economic situation
Experience and interest in organizing and mobilizing communities
Ability to be travel freely to the Bekaa and North Regions
