Save the Children International in Lebanon is inviting submissions of tenders for a contract to provide the following products: Hiring Drivers & Renting Vehicles(Ref# PR-B-2019-048)

In the context of the described program, the consultant will conduct a labor market assessment to identify employment opportunities and promising vocational sectors in targeted vulnerable urban areas of Beirut-Mount Lebanon.This assessment will address the needs of female and male youth and women and men caregivers of Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian nationality. It is expected that the assessment will explicitly consider specific needs of female participants in all domains of the assessment.

Objectives

1. Lead on identifying high quality and relevant job and market opportunities for SCI program participants
2. Support the FSL field team in Akkar and Bekaa to meet program objectives of establishing market-based income-generating activities

Save the Children is looking to unify the Child Protection awareness toolbox by creating comprehensive content that can be used for different purposes. As part of the first phase, we are planning to produce two videos that can provide a guide for caregivers, parents and children on the two topics (child marriage and child labour) and bring attention to challenges facing children and threatening their protection within the Lebanese context, and ways to overcome those challenges.

As the conflict in Syria moves through its sixth year, the situation for refugee families and children in Lebanon continues to deteriorate. As of June 2016, approximately 1.5 million Syrian refugees are living in Lebanon, including 1,033, 513 (52.1% female/47.9% male) registered refugees and around half of that number again who are not registered. These numbers are straining an already overloaded socioeconomic and political system , and families increasingly rely on humanitarian assistance. Children in particular face considerable hardship, with fewer resources available.
